SEM 2 - DYNAMIC DUOS
This was a collaborative performance piece exploring themes of mark making. The work is centered on a walk from Northcote to Docklands, connecting our homes in Melbourne. Here, we followed a rough guidance of the midpoint between our homes and individually navigated our routes, transforming the journey itself into a shared artistic experience.

Background:
Madison got inspiration from the work of Francis Alÿs and Pope.L, exploring how bodies move through public space. However, I saw this piece more from the angle of mark making (Richard Long) and was curious about the marks of the city
A previous idea was the concept of a simulated sunrise (akin Olafur Eliasson). Here we could have a script of instructions to curate a sunrise (leveraging materials like lights, coloured plastic, and sound) through simple, rule-based actions.
