What do I want? I want someone to give me the perspective of the market... When do you receive this feedback in real life? An art critic? Work being bought? Grants? Application to an art school? Who are good critics nowadays?
Sharon → Objective vs Subjective. Objective: what you can see. Subjective: what it means / what you feel.
"positive intentionality" — to be challenged.
You get feedback first, then you get to answer the questions.

[chandelier reference] I like this — hanging threads with wax, but darker, almost like a shrine... from an object perspective... something I can spend time with, and whatever agency an object does have. Truth and agency. So what is this truth, and what is this agency?
Whatever is lacking — do you need a specific object for a specific lack? Are the objects I create reflecting of my lack? These forms are truth.
In a space that nothing else existed) why do people do art? Fulfil a role. Thought experiment — anything out of any material.
encounter — object... Making (process) vs curiosity. experience or viewing (dialog / sketch).
both / both — object conversation. Open-ended questions, compelling to live with.
Artworks as object.. Other things — directed / mechanical.
Impossible task + responsibilities (belief system + representation traced + understood) — ambiguous enough.
Alchemy — lead → gold, spiritually transcend. Koan. Aesthetic + outside language → mystery & perpetuity.
What next? Write about it / speak about it — almost like an art critic. Companion written piece. Artist books. Self-produced catalogue essay. Artwork + lecture, companion essay, websites.
Companion — danger: tell us the meaning of the artwork, then does the artwork need to exist? Tie to me, visual-diary stuff → so the artwork exists, else presentation-based artwork.
Presentation.. how objects get presented. Strength doesn't come from its rigid shell.
